Boosting Productivity in Vietnam’s Digital Transformation Journey with Dropbox
Vietnam’s digital transformation is accelerating across both public and private sectors. By mid-2025, 76 out of 106 tasks the Action Programme implementing the nation’s Resolution 57 – focused on science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation – were completed, showing strong national momentum.
At the business level, a UOB Business Outlook Study in June 2025 (Vietnam) found that over 90% of Vietnamese businesses now use digital solutions. Notably, medium-sized enterprises are leading the charge, with 9 in 10 planning to increase their digital investments this year. As digital tools become standard, the challenge is ensuring they truly boost productivity and streamline operations.
A recent survey by Dropbox and YouGov, conducted in recognition of World Productivity Day (June 20), sheds light on the pain points in modern work. Notably, many workers still feel under-resourced: only 26% strongly agree that they have the tools and resources needed to perform their jobs effectively.
In response to these modern-day work challenges, Dropbox offers more than just a solution—it delivers a unified, intelligent platform where essential tools come together effortlessly. This streamlined approach underscores Dropbox enduring commitment to convenience, productivity, and security, as captured in its ‘All-in-one-place’ tagline. The tools that are brought together: Backup, which protects files automatically; Sign to simplifie eSignatures; Replay to accelerate creative and videos feedback; and Transfer to send large files with ease. Besides, to further extend its value, Dropbox also includes DocSend for secure document sharing and real-time engagement tracking and Dash, an AI-powered universal search tools and content organization. With seamless integration with popular platforms in Vietnam such as Microsoft Teams, Canva, and Google Workspace, Dropbox eliminates workflow silos and digital clutter – empowering teams to collaborate efficiently, work securely, and focus on what matters most.
This potential is already being realized in Vietnam. According to July 2025 data from Solid&Soft, the official distributor of Dropbox in Vietnam, businesses across diverse sectors are actively using Dropbox to support their digital transformation and effectiveness. The top three sectors leading adoption are Professional Services (28%), Retail (15%), and IT (14%) – all of which demand structured workflows, high levels of security, and seamless collaboration across locations or teams.

Beyond the top adopters, Dropbox is also being embraced across other critical industries such as Media (10%), Logistics and Manufacturing (9% each), Construction and Creative Design (also 6% each), and a range of other sectors. These sectors often manage large media files, coordinate across creative or technical teams, and require real-time feedback loops. Dropbox streamlines these workflows, helping reduce delays and improve the overall quality of output.
As Vietnam continues to accelerate its transition toward a digital economy, the question will not only be how quickly businesses adopt new tools, but how effectively those tools help people work smarter. In this journey, platforms like Dropbox — built to reduce friction and work seamlessly with the tools people already use — can help organizations unlock productivity and collaboration at scale.
